he Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to company standards while maintaining food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in kitchen operations.
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and production requirements.
- Cook menu items following established recipes and portion standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and served at the highest quality.
- Monitor food presentation, taste, and temperature before serving.
Food Safety and Sanitation
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
- Properly store and label food products according to company guidelines.
- Comply with local health and safety regulations.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Report shortages, spoilage, or damaged items to the supervisor.
- Practice proper food rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
- Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage.
Kitchen Operations
- Set up and organize cooking stations before operations.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries when required.
- Support team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Customer Service Support
- Prepare orders accurately and within target service times.
- Respond promptly to special food requests when applicable.
- Help maintain a positive dining experience by ensuring food quality and consistency.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent; culinary training is an advantage.
- Previous cooking or food service experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
