Title:  Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant is responsible for the collection of tax-related information, reporting to taxation authorities at the local and national levels in a timely manner, and alerts management any tax impact or risks observed or encountered for all legal entities handled under Jollibee Worldwide Services.

 

  • National taxes compliance
    • Prepares & computes statutory tax returns such as withholding taxes, VAT and final tax (Philippines).
    • Prepares reconciliation of GL tax accounts, validate correctness of tax base against tax amount, and records identified tax adjustments.
    • Files, executes, and records online payments of tax liabilities, on or before due dates:
      • Income Tax
      • Withholding Taxes (final & expanded)
      • VAT
      • DST
      • Withholding VAT
      • Registration Fees
      • Other Payments 
    • Prepares necessary schedules and reports to support tax payments and compliance, such as:
      • MAP
      • SLS
      • SLP
      • SAWT
      • SLI
      • SRS
      • Inventory List
      • Scanned copies of BIR 2307
      • Other reports
    • Prepares quarterly summary of Expanded Withholding tax for issuance of Certificates to suppliers.
    • Computes disallowed input VAT related to VAT exempt Senior Citizen transaction.
    • Escalates to Team Leader unusual transactions/issues, for proper handling and resolution.

 

  • Local tax compliance
    • Prepares and collates required documents and schedules for application, renewal and retirement of local taxes, such as:
      • Community Tax Certificates
      • Business tax
      • Real Property Tax
      • Other regulatory Permits
    • Coordinates with the Store Managers and provides requirements to secure business tax assessments.
    • Validates correctness of tax assessment issued by BPLO.
    • Prepares Request for Payment(RFP) for local tax obligations.
    • Monitors completion of activities related to the local tax payments on or before due dates.
    • Checks completeness and secure copies of business permits and RPT from stores/commissaries/main office.

 

  • Balance Sheet Account Management
    • Generates balance sheet GL accounts, reports and assesses correctness, accuracy, validity and reasonableness of recorded transactions.
    • Analyzes balance sheet GL accounts and assesses correctness, accuracy, validity and reasonableness of recorded transactions.
    • Escalates to Team Leader unusual/abnormal fixed assets account balances /transactions for resolution or adjustments.
    • Submits balance sheet account schedules for consolidation and reporting.

 

  • Other Reports & Requirements
    • Generates, prepares and validates reports as required for submission to specialist & team leader.
    • Submits documents requirements needed by business partners and immediate superior.

 

  • Internal & External Audit
    • Attends to External / Internal Audit requirements during interim, year-end and ad-hoc audits.
    • Prepares and submits documents, schedules, reports, documents and data as  requested by auditor.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Speaks clearly and professionally, and is able to communicate business processes to both internal and external customers, orally and in writing.
  • Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City (hybrid set-up).
