Title: Senior Insurance Manager
The key role and responsibility of a Senior Manager is to handle the Insurance and Risk requirements of the Phils. Business, SMCC and oversee the Insurance requirements of the foreign. business of Jollibee Group and work with international insurance markets and get the best insurance terms and coverage beneficial to the business operations.
Insurance Program Review and Placement
- Manages the Phils. business and SMCC insurance requirement of JFC Group (Non-Life) whilst overseeing the foreign business activities.
- Lead discussions and renewal negotiations of the Global Program placed for Jollibee Worldwide.
- Lead insurance strategy meetings and support Finance leaders in identifying applicable insurance program to address the current and emerging risks of the organization, balancing the protection vs. cost.
- Lead the Insurance bidding process and the negotiation with insurers to get the best competitive cover and pricing in the market.
- Conduct Global Road Show presentation together with GIRM Head for prospective multinational insurers prior to Insurance bidding to entice the Insurance Market to participate and insure the risks of JFC Group.
- Administer binding and appointment of winning insurer based on the Global Insurance and Claims Guidelines of JFC Group worldwide.
- Supervise the daily insurance administration process after placement.
Global Insurance Claims Management
- Supervise the claims management of JFC Group in collaboration with Claims team.
- Support the Claims team in negotiating with Insurers and adjusters on critical and problematic claims.
- Work with forensic accounting team (Third party Service Provider) if needed for complicated claims if there are unreconciled issues between the JFC Group and Insurers on Claims settlement.
- Work with Global legal team and external Lawyers (appointed by JFC Group) on liability claims
Risk Management Initiatives
- Conduct contract Review activities and provide relative recommendations on the possibility of transferring the risks associated on contracts to Third Party contractors and/or suppliers through insurance.
- Administer the Loss Control Engineering activities for Phils. business involving major commissaries and distribution center with the help of a risk consultant to identify and assist the Organization in coming up with a standard approach on Fire Protection, safety protocol and Inspection, Testing and Maintenance (ITM) procedures.
- Assist in the creation of business continuity plans to limit risks and prepare for worst case scenario
- Partner with GIRM Head in the creation of an ERM culture for Jollibee Group
Data Analytics
- Analyze statistical data, insurance markets behaviour, claims vs. current cover and create a report that will help the organization forecast risk and liability and aid the company in implementing strategies and designing future insurance program based on needs
- Responsible in the maintenance of the Insurance Underwriting Data globally and the analysis on the behavior of JFC group’s exposure in terms of assets values
- Responsible in providing monthly report on the renewal placement activities globally in coordination with other insurance managers handling other countries.
- Collaborate with Claims team in providing inputs in the creation of the monthly Global Insurance Loss Dashboard (GILD) report.
Relationship Management- Insurance Partners
- Promote JFC as a Global account to foreign and local Insurers
- Maintain good partnerships with insurance providers, claims adjusters, inspectors and Insurance Broker
- Manage to handle regular business meetings to keep in touch with the leaders of the Insurance Industries to keep up to date on the latest in the insurance market.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of any Bachelor’s Degree or any business-related course.
- At least 5-10 years relevant work experience as Insurance Manager of a respectable Insurance or Brokerage Firm.
- Ability to effectively manage numerous, concurrent detailed projects.
- Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig (hybrid).
