Title:  Risk Officer

The Risk Officer will support the Enterprise Risk Management Initiatives set forth by the Chief Risk Officer and Global Insurance and Risk Management Dept. by ensuring that activities are conducted in accordance with the ERM framework and policy. 

The role is expected to manage relationships both with internal and external stakeholders in the overall implementation of ERM.

The Risk Officer will: i. support the implementation of ERM framework, ii. handle ERM documentations and iii. support the administration of JFC’s risk register including monitoring of entries and applicable risk actions in coordination with Risk Owners and/or Risk Champions.

 

The Officer is expected to review the current processes and recommend improvement in the existing process if any.

 

ERM Administration

  • Supports the ERM Team in executing ERM Projects according to the Project Plan and Strategies.
  • Ensure that meetings are scheduled by coordinating with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicates and respond to inquiries and insights that will advance and/or improve the activity result within the agreed timeline.
  • Drive the collection of pertinent information that will be needed by communicating to the data owners and providing clarity on the requirements.
  • Administer documents and ensure accessibility to stakeholders as approved by the ERM Lead.
  • Administer the logistics requirements pertinent in the execution of ERM Project Activities.
  • Collaborate with Working Team in assessing risks, aligned to the Risk Scoring Criteria and Categories that has been established.
  • Process ERM-related payables subject to approval of the ERM leaders.
  • Support the Risk Manager in reviewing contracts, SLA’s and ensure that services are provided in accordance with the accepted proposal and agreed LOE.
  • Manage relationship and work closely with ERM Lead, Risk Owners, Risk Champions and ERM Partner for any ERM-related deliverables and inquiries.
  • Supports in building and implementing ERM tools for improved and better administration.

 

ERM Campaign

  • Advocates ERM Culture by communicating ERM Principles, benefits, process, and framework in accordance with JFC’s ERM Policy and Statement.
  • Ensure that ERM activities are conducted and/or executed in accordance with the ERM Policy and Statement.
  • Support in embedding ERM Culture within the organization by helping in promotional activities such as workshops, orientations and/or risk discussions.

 

Risk Identification and Assessment

  • Supports ERM Lead, Risk Owners, Risk Champions and ERM Partner in identifying risk in accordance with the ERM policy.
  • Support the Risk Manager in ensuring that identified risk is analyzed, evaluated, and treated by the risk owners and/or risk champion align to the ERM Policy and are properly documented and logged in the Risk Register.

 

ERM Reporting

  • Ensure that Risk Register is properly accomplished by Risk Owners and or of Risk Champions and would effectively provide a risk information that may impact organization’s objective.
  • Support in ensuring that risk reporting is conducted in a timely manner and that risk profile is still relevant as it reaches appropriate stakeholders.
  • Review alignment of the risk reports to the risk register and matrix.
  • Assist in producing regular risk report to stakeholders.

 

ERM Monitoring

  • Helps in ensuring that risk registers are updated and utilized by the organization in parallel to any initiatives and projects to be implemented.
  • Helps in reviewing risk and its scoring and how it changes from previous assessment.
  • Assist in reviewing and if necessary, updating ERM Statement of the organization.
  • Help in determining and prompting trends that may give rise to increasing risks and emerging risks.
  • Review effectivity of risk framework and prompts improvement that can be adapted to improve efficiency.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of any business-related course.
  • With 5 years relevant work experience as Risk Officer or Specialist.
  • With advance knowledge in using business tools such as MS Office, and others that is useful in Project and Data Management.
  • Fluent in oral and written communication (English language).
  • Flexible and can work as early as 5am in the morning and work late at night if needed to address and attend to meetings with international offices.
  • Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City (hybrid set-up).
