Title: Research and Development Officer (New Product Development)
Jollibee Group's Research and Development Officer (New Product Development) is responsible for the development of new products/new platforms, scale-up plant trials from kitchen recipe to commercial production following the protocols.
He/She is able to identify and develop new processes and establish process controls to ensure the quality and reproducibility of new products.
The position also involves in supplier development of manufactured and traded items for new platforms. He can represent the team in meetings related to the project and/or category he is handling.
Recipe Development
- Collaborate with chefs and suppliers to explore food concepts and trends.
- Develop new recipes aligned with marketing briefs and ensure taste superiority.
- Initiate open innovation and ideation for new product platforms.
Product Technology Transfer
- Translate kitchen recipes to commercial formulas.
- Conduct plant trials and validate specs with commissaries and toll suppliers.
- Document manufacturing standards, costing, and quality parameters.
- Support regulatory documentation and sensory testing.
Store Operations Integration
- Develop SOPs and store processes for new products.
- Conduct product simulations with operations teams.
- Ensure accurate menu listings and profitability analysis.
Supplier Development
- Audit and assess supplier capabilities.
- Evaluate raw materials and packaging for new platforms.
- Develop specifications and coordinate sourcing of new items.
Product & Process Improvement
- Improve core and complementary products for quality and cost.
- Recommend alternative materials and equipment for efficiency.
- Update SOPs and menu listings for improved products.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be graduate of BS Food Technology.
- At least 3 years of extensive experience in R&D from reputable food manucaturing company.
- Experience in meat products, bakery products, and sauces is an advantage.
- Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig.
