Title:  Public Relations Officer

The Public Relations Officer supports the execution and delivery of the brand’s Public Relations initiatives across Owned and Earned Media. The role ensures that all PR efforts, including those delivered through the PR agency, are aligned with brand direction, business priorities, and messaging standards. Through strong coordination, critical review of outputs, and consistent storytelling, the PR Officer contributes to building brand visibility, credibility, and trust. The role also plays a key part in monitoring media sentiment and supporting timely, accurate communication during issues or crises.

PR Content Development & Messaging Consistency 

  • Develop and finalize PR materials such as press releases, key messages, FAQs, and executive talking points in collaboration with the agency.
  • Ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and brand voice across all communications.
  • Translate campaigns and business priorities into relevant and newsworthy PR angles.
  • Safeguard accuracy and completeness of all public-facing materials prior to release.

PR Agency Coordination & Output Alignment

  • Act as the main point of contact for the PR agency for day-to-day requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide clear briefs based on campaign and business objectives to guide agency outputs.
  • Review and refine agency deliverables including press releases, media materials, and seeding plans to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand messaging.
  • Track progress of deliverables and ensure timelines are met.
  • Raise gaps or inconsistencies in outputs and recommend improvements to strengthen overall PR execution.

PR Program Coordination & Internal Alignment

  • Work closely with Digital Content & Community Relations, Brand Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams to align PR plans with campaign objectives.
  • Consolidate inputs, approvals, and key information required for PR initiatives.
  • Ensure readiness of materials, spokespersons, and timelines ahead of launches and announcements.
  • Serve as the internal checkpoint to ensure only aligned and approved messaging is released externally.

PR Activations Support

  • Support the planning and execution of media events and PR activations in collaboration with the agency and internal teams.
  • Review event plans, program flow, and engagement approach to ensure alignment with PR objectives.
  • Coordinate logistics such as invitations, attendance tracking, and materials preparation.
  • Assist in post-event documentation including media coverage and activity reports.

Issues Monitoring, Crisis Performance Tracking & Insight Support

  • Monitor media coverage, social conversations, and public sentiment to identify emerging issues, assess potential impact, and escalate with clear context and recommended actions.
  • Support the preparation and refinement of crisis communication materials, including holding statements, Q&As, and advisories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with approved messaging.
  • Consolidate and review coverage and response data during and after issues or crises, extracting key insights, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements to strengthen future PR readiness and execution.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • Must have at least 2 to 4 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations.
  • Must have experience in publicity, content writing, media coordination, PR events, and basic issues handling.
  • Experience in handling projects or coordinating with agencies and cross-functional teams is an advantage.
  • Experience in consumer brands, FMCG, retail, or food service is an advantage but not required.
  • Must be willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig on a hybrid working set-up (2 days onsite per week)
