Title:  Program Specialist

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting directly to the Manager for Governance, Finance and Admin, the Program Specialist is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities: 

  1. Provide administrative support to Program Development and Innovations; and Engagement and Advocacy Teams.
  2. Ensure general administrative matters are attended to, such as: 
  • FinanceFacilitate requests to release grants for program partners and suppliers.
  • Travel - Arranging transportation, accommodation, and other requirements. 
  • Purchasing - Securing general supplies and other program requirements
  • Communications – Communicates with partners related to program implementation.
  1. Ensure proper acknowledgment and recording of donations received from corporate, individual, coin bank and other fundraising campaigns.
  2. Ensure availability of coin banks inventory
  3. Perform such other tasks that may be assigned to him/her from time to time. 

JOB EXPERIENCES and SKILLS REQUIRED

  • At least 3 of experience in program managements, previously working in a social development setting is a plus but not required
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Results-oriented, flexible and an effective team player
  • Ability to manage several tasks at the same time
  • Computer literate, preferably knowledgeable in advance excel

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT REQUIRED

College degree, preferably in Social Work/Development or any related field.
