The Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) Program Officer for Advocacy is responsible for executing the Foundation’s advocacy strategies in the areas of agriculture, hunger mitigation and youth education. The Officer for Advocacy will execute relationship building with key decision-makers and thought leaders relevant to advocacy plans for Hunger Mitigation and Youth Education, using communication and outreach efforts to engage key audiences and further establish the Foundation’s reputation as a thought leader in its field.
The Program Officer is responsible for delivering on the following Key Result Areas:
- Advocacy Agenda Building: Tracks and analyzes relevant developments and policies in the local and international arena, to support the development of the Foundation’s advocacy agenda, including implementing a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy to raise awareness and generate support among key audiences such as opinion leaders, and the general public.
- Alliance Building: Identifies and assesses opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations to advance the goals and objectives of the Foundation. Implements the development, maintenance and strengthening of mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations with strategic organizations.
- Advocacy Projects: Leads collaboration with teams within JGF and Jollibee Foods Corporation as well as project partners to participate in events, produce communication materials that advance the Foundation’s advocacy agenda. Leads the assessment and reporting on the results of advocacy efforts including monitoring and analyzing media coverage and stakeholder opinions.
- Resource Mobilization: Performs evaluation of grant requests and recommends course of action including overseeing the conduct of financial audit of assisted partners. Provides inputs in the preparation of the Annual Program budget and leads the monitoring of its utilization including recommending adjustments as needed.
JOB EXPERIENCES and SKILLS REQUIRED
- At least 5years of experience
- Knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR) - with appreciation of current and emerging CSR issues and trends
- Project management - Strong organizational and planning skills to effectively manage complex programs, budgets, and timelines while coordinating multiple projects at the same time.
- Communications skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders including staff, partners and beneficiaries.
- Attention to details and ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities, and changing circumstances, and to remain flexible and responsive to changing needs and requirements.
- Emotional intelligence - understanding and managing one's own emotions and those of others, exhibiting genuine concern for the needs of others and the ability to understand and respond to their needs.
- Collaboration- with a strong sense of collaboration within and across teams, stakeholders, and partners to achieve common goals and to create a positive and supportive work environment.

- Experience in knowledge management and monitoring and evaluation is a plus
EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT REQUIRED
Graduate in Development Studies, Public Management, Community Development or other related fields. Post-graduate degree or studies will be an advantage.
