Title:  Lead Data Scientist

Responsibilities:

  • Thought Leadership: Be an expert in data science, identifying opportunities and disrupting traditional workflows.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor data scientists, including team members, contractors, or partners.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Oversee projects in data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to derive valuable insights and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders to understand data needs, align projects with organizational goals, and drive innovation.
  • Data Strategy: Contribute to the organization's data strategy by identifying data needs for model development.
  • Project Management: Manage data science projects, defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation to meet objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize data science processes for improved efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering or an equivalent course
  • Proven experience operationalizing models to address business problems and customer needs.
  • Expertise in determining appropriate statistical approaches for solving diverse business problems.
  • Flexibility in using various data science tools, including AWS, Snowflake, Sagemaker, GCP/BigQuery, and GIS tools.
  • Collaboration with business groups and stakeholders to understand, propose, deploy models, and measure results.
  • Management and mentoring of junior data scientists.
  • Proficiency in preparing, evaluating, and wrangling data for model development.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and agile teams.
  • Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig. (Hybrid Work Setup)
