Title: HR Officer (Business Partnering)
The HR Officer (Business Partnering) supports his/her assigned Regional Business Unit by managing HR functions for that Regional Business Unit. Specifically, this covers the implementation of employee policies within the Regional Business Unit to make sure that all facets of people management are properly attended to.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Program Implementation
• Schedules and implements store HRM programs and activities for the year and as necessary based on general direction and orientation on corporate human resource management and development programs.
• Implements and coordinates with all companywide employee programs and activities for his/her assigned Regional Business Unit.
Employee Movement Administration
• Supervises the prompt documentation of all manpower movements, i.e. regularization, transfers as well as promotions and confirmations.
• Facilitates store transfer of employees ensuring that all transfers are approved by the department managers concerned. Coordinates all store transfers with the Salary Admin Officer.
• Facilitates processing of regularization and promotion of employees in the Regional Business Unit. Ensures that such employees have undergone examination, if any, and that the recommendation is approved by the hiring manager/Regional Business Unit HR BP. Coordinates all promotions and regularizations with the Salary Admin Officer.
• Processes resignation of employees in the Regional Business Unit by ensuring that the employee has completed all exit documents/processes. Coordinates with WPS, ERA, Benefits & Salary administrators and Payroll to ensure that this happens.
Salary & Benefits Administration
• Assists Regional Business Unit HR BPs in the implementation of Benefits programs such as life insurance, medical/health insurance, etc.
• Coordinates benefits enrollment and availment applications of store personnel with C&B Department. Follows up on claims. Orients and guides store personnel on benefits and availment procedures.
Employee Relations
• Facilitates due process in the resolution of all disciplinary cases of employees in the Regional Business Unit. Attends disciplinary hearings and coordinates with the employee’s immediate superior for actions to be taken.
• Handles employee issues/matters referred by store management. Refers any major, highly sensitive matters to the respective Regional Business Unit HR BP.
• Ensures an open communication line between employees and management in the Regional Business Unit by administering and facilitating various employee engagement programs
Regulatory Compliance
• Ensures that all stores in the Regional Business Unit follow specific guidelines as mandated by Philippine law. Coordinates with Area Managers to ensure proper implementation of the law and all related policies.
• Orients stores and operations leaders on new regulations, laws and processes as needed.
Regional Business Unit Representation & Support
• Provides technical assistance and advice to store personnel in ensuring the consistent implementation of company human resources policies.
• Assists in the conceptualization and implementation of localized employee programs and activities with Operations Directors/Area Managers.
• Provides technical assistance and advice to Operations in the consistent implementation of company rules and regulations, handling grievances, investigations and carrying out disciplinary actions.
• Supports the Regional Business Unit HR BP in Regional Business Unit meetings whenever there are HR-related issues or activities that need to be clarified.
• Attends and supports Regional Business Unit activities as necessary.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of HR experience in labor relations, talent management, employee engagement, and data management, preferably in operations-driven, retail, food service, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and employee concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiation, and decision-making.
• Willing to travel and support both office-based and field-based operations.
• Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig (Hybrid Work Setup).
