Title: Finance Director - Products, Channels and National Key Accounts
POSITION SUMMARY
The Products, Channels and National Key Accounts Finance Director effectively drives the over-all management of Channels & National Key Accounts Group (NKAG) and Product Finance function ensuring alignment and consistency to the Business Unit (BU) business strategies, plans and directions. This position crafts and executes plans to maximize revenue and profitability growth and likewise optimizes the management reporting platforms and business intelligence architecture to make well-informed business decisions.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Key Result Area 1: Revenue and Profit Management & Strategies
- Collaborates closely with key stakeholders in maximizing revenue and profitability; guides the centralized evaluation of financial feasibility of product initiatives, where applicable.
- Provides leadership and collaborate with executive management on Channels & NKAG and Product Finance strategy setting, such as pricing, target margins and margin progression by product category, profit improvement programs, and price increase and risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Leads the GP (Gross Profit) analysis review and present suggestions for improvement to VP Finance.
- Heads the 12-month rolling forecast of GP, both at store and commissary level every month.
- Harnesses data insighting capabilities to identify and recommend opportunities for revenue maximization, cost improvement, and profit sustainability across product categories.
- Directs continuous improvement and simplification of data management processes to increase efficiency and productivity, leading to cost reduction opportunities.
Key Result Area 2: Financial Management Reporting & Analysis
- Designs and delivers the right information to the right person at the right time in the right format.
- Oversees the BU Marketing Financial and Management Reports.
- Governs the A&P (Advertising and Promotion) budget and spend and identify any overspend, risks and opportunities.
- Provides analytical support to help in the diagnosis and resolution of key issues in relation to channels and products.
- Drives data analytics to provide efficient insighting support to key stakeholders.
- Ensures that robust financial controls are deployed consistently across the business and financial risks are appropriately managed and mitigated.
Key Result Area 3: Financial Modeling
- Develops sensitivity analysis for variations in pricing and cost structures.
- Leads the development and implementation of tiered pricing strategies and policies.
- Establishes sustainable P&L system in the introduction of new products or initiatives.
- Directs the design and implementation of the analytical foundations, processes, systems, reporting and decision support tools needed to improve performance.
- Leads the development of appropriate statistical and financial models that continuously adapt to both the evolving business landscape and the pace of technological innovation.
Key Result Area 4: Financial Advisory Services
- Owns the establishment of A&P target and gross margin targets for marketing division.
- Directly manages the delivery of sound financial insights and recommendations to BU Marketing and Research & Development and collaborates with Supply Chain to support their strategic, operational, and tactical decisions.
- Optimizes financial decision-making processes by designing and recommending appropriate key financial measures and indicators.
- Upholds financial leadership in cross-functional projects.
Key Result Area 5: People Management
- Creates talent development plans for members of the Channels & NKAG and Product Finance Group based on competency assessments and performance evaluations; implements L&D plans, and ensures the achievement of developmental objectives or milestones.
- Foster continuous development, set context, and coach and mentor team members.
- Cultivates the talent pipeline by identifying key talents and developing career plans for those identified as such.
- Implements employee engagement programs and encourages active participation among team members.
- Facilitates employee issue resolution and implements the disciplinary action process.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Graduate of Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Math, Industrial Engineering, Management Science and Engineering and other related courses
- Experience requirment as follows: with at least five (5) years experience in Finance, Corporate Planning in major Philippine and/or multinational corporations; with at least two (2) years in QSR / consumer-related industries; and with least five (5) years managerial capacity
- Function-specific knowledge include advance knowledge and understanding of the QSR business, various modeling techniques and methods and business case development
- The following licenses/certification is an advantage: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Accounting (CFA), Certified Management Accounting (CMA)
- Knowledgeable in MS Office, SAP and PowerBI is an advantage
