Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
The Quality Assurance Specialist will perform efficiently and effectively the detailed specific tasks related to monitoring and implementation of Quality Assurance programs and systems in Jollibee Worldwide Services Logistics distribution operations and Incoming Inspection laboratory to support the objective of providing services and products consistently meeting standards and specifications for food safety and quality.
Sufficient Quality Management and Food Safety Program

Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in monitoring the detailed activities of the overall quality assurance and food safety programs of Jollibee Worldwide Services Logistics in North / South Luzon operations.

Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in monitoring the detailed activities of the JWSL Inspection Laboratory and ensures it’s compliance to SOPs and Good Laboratory Practices.

Coordinates and provide technical assistance to all North / South Luzon distribution third party logistics service providers and DC compliance officers in strengthening the JWSL Quality Assurance programs and compliance to Quality Management - FSQ audits and NSF - Burger King Audits.

Reviews / Audits the implementation of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, systems and procedures in terms of Good Warehousing Practices, Good Distribution Practices and Hazards Analysis Critical Control Points in 3PL DC’s.

Reviews and ensures appropriate inspection and testing required by the quality assurance programs and systems developed for the company are performed in accordance with internationally accepted standards.

Conducts audits on the implementation of the Quality Assurance programs, systems and procedures in terms of Good Warehousing Practices, Good Distribution Practices, Hazards Analysis Critical Control Points, and Good Laboratory Practices including method validation and process audits.

Conducts and performs RQI and MEMO processing in JWSL and managed sites.

Evaluates specimen of customer feedback (store related feedback) and conducts investigation as necessary.

Assists in the review and update of documentation of QA processes, procedures and forms based on assigned.

Analyze results of inspection and testing and results of audits (GLP / GWP, process and QMS) and recommends actions to be taken. Prepare periodic status reports as needed.

Maintains calibration and verification of existing measuring and testing equipment and recommends adjustment if needed.

Coordinates and liaise with regulatory requirements pertaining to product movements, sampling and other regulatory requirements of FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR and LGU.

Process non-conformances related to QC/QA through investigation and issuance of corrective and preventive action request (CAR / CPAR) to Operations and service providers found to be deviating from SOPs, works out root cause analysis with them and follows through eventual action taken.

Reports critical areas of concern regarding product quality and safety as soon as these are identified / observed.

Accountable for ensuring the implementation of best practice in the quality systems.

Provide training as required to Distribution Centers and Key accounts personnel / compliance officers on GWP, GDP and HACCP.

Conducts training of junior team members, in accordance to Laboratory Inspection and compliance to GLP.
Quality Process Improvements
-
Assists / conducts process improvement projects and alternative processes related to quality assurance, inspection, logistics and distribution.

Assists / conducts warehouse and depot accreditation.

Conducts technical alignments and meetings guided by the standard principles and procedures to JWSL management and third-party service providers management.

Assists translation run (product turnovers) guided by procedures / process defined by the translation team composed of representatives from client R&D or RS.

Coordinates with counterparts from the company operating units, Corporate Purchasing, Corporate Quality Management, client R&D, CSC Manufacturing QAD and other units within Jollibee Foods Corporation for quality improvement programs.
Ensures That Operational Expenses Are Within Budget

Ensures compliance to approved sampling plans. Excess sample requests as a result of re-sampling or mishandling must be coordinated with superior.

Plans work schedules and assignments of QA personnel to support off-site audits and site visits.

Reviews and monitors requests of supplies and charging of QA samples.
Key Result Area 4: Compliance

Abides Company Policies, Rules and Regulations on Discipline, Good Warehousing Practices, Food Safety, Quality Schemes, HR Policies (ECOBE) and other related Company Policies being implemented.
Key Result Area 5: Assessment and Development of Section’s Manning

Takes part in the selection, training and performance evaluation of QAD staff who will be assigned in his / her section based on the company accepted criteria.

Develops and continuously reviews his section’s manning complement to make it more responsive to the needs of the operation.

Designs and plans work schedules and job assignments of personnel under his supervision in relation to overall QAD operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Chemical Engineering and other allied fields.
-
At least 3 years experience in Quality Assurance.
-
Must be familiar with GWP / GDP, GLP, GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and statistics.
-
Willing to be assigned in Bicutan.
