Title:  Import & Export Manager

 

The Import & Export Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end international logistics processes across JFC PH. This includes designing and implementing standardized procedures for efficient import and export flows, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods in partnership with vendors and internal business units. The role oversees accredited contractors handling customs duties, payments, and deliveries, ensuring full compliance with government regulations.

 

  • Business Process:
    • Develops and manages service-level agreements with logistics partners (4PL/3PL), while continuously improving systems, processes, and tools to meet strategic and operational goals.
    • Monitors regulatory changes in import laws and advises management to ensure compliance and operational alignment.
  • Cost Management:
    • Analyzes import/export laws, tariffs, and licenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize landed costs in collaboration with Procurement and Finance teams.
    • Evaluates and approves contractor spending for logistics services, ensuring cost-effective execution of import and export operations.
  • Customs Compliance & Governance:
    • Oversees customs and trade compliance to ensure timely shipment clearance and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Reviews and approves customs documentation, permit applications, and duties/taxes computations, while updating policies based on regulatory changes.
  • Operational and Customer Management:
    • Oversees contractors and logistics partners to ensure compliant, timely, and cost-efficient import/export operations, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
    • Acts as the company’s authorized representative, resolving operational issues, approving documentation, and driving continuous improvement through regular performance reviews and stakeholder coordination.

    • Actively participates in occupational health and safety (OH&S) trainings and initiatives to support a culture of safety.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business, or any related courses.
  • Preferably a licensed Customs Broker
  • Must have at least five (5) years of managerial experience in handling imports, exports, and customs operations, preferably in a food or FMCG manufacturing industries.
  • Must have experience in handling third-party vendors and contractors
  • Possess a strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel to different distribution centers as needed
  • Must be willing to report on a hybrid setup in Sucat, Paranaque
