Title: Environment, Health and Safety Manager
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring they align with international standards. Additionally, they play a crucial role in planning and guiding the organization toward obtaining external certifications, such as the Integrated Management System (IMS), by establishing effective strategies and processes to meet the necessary requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies, including DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources), DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment), LLDA (Laguna Lake Development Authority), etc.
- Oversee and manage the allocated budget for EHS initiatives and ensure expenditures are made in a cost-effective manner.
- Develop, implement, and regularly test emergency preparedness and response procedures for potential incidents, such as fires, explosions, or other safety hazards.
- Implement programs aimed at preventing and reducing the occurrence of accidents, incidents, or emergencies.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance environmental sustainability, employee safety, and plant performance.
- Mentor staff and provide training related to environmental and safety standards.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be a licensed Engineer.
- Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and/or Safety Officer (SO) certification is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in EHS, specifically within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in environmental and safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage and lead teams, as well as collaborate across departments to implement effective EHS programs.
- Willingness to be assigned in Danao, Cebu. (Full Onsite)
