Title:  Research & Development Officer

JFC’s Research and Development Officer is responsible for the following:

 

Product and Process Development and Improvement

  • Lead development and improvement of assigned product platform.
  • Coordinate with R&D Specialists to meet project parameters.
  • Develop experimental designs and action plans.
  • Identify and mitigate concerns and risks.
  • Document raw materials, finished products, and processes.
  • Maintain and update BOM in SAP System.
  • Manage development of quality standards, packaging specifications, and process adjustments.

Product Commercialization and Upstream Technology

  • Ensure products meet quality standards for commercial production.
  • Transfer product technology to manufacturing sites and suppliers.
  • Standardize formulations and processes.
  • Document product formulations and improvements.
  • Validate data and processes for quality standards.
  • Recommend equipment for new or re-engineered products.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a graduate of Food technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or any related Science Course.
  • Professional Food Technologist (PFT) License is a plus.
  • At least 3-5 years relevant experience as Research and Development in the baked food manufacturing industry.
    • Experience as R&D for the dairy and/or chocolate industry is also an advantage.
  • Willing to be assigned in Calamba, Laguna.
