Title:  Environment Health & Safety Officer

 

The EHS Officer will lead and support our Environmental Health & Safety initiatives of the assigned manufacturing plant. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with legal standards, promoting a safe workplace, and driving continuous improvement across all plant operations.

 

  • Systems & Compliance
    • Develop and implement EHS systems and procedures aligned with international standards.
    • Ensure timely submission of legal reports and renewal of operational permits.
    • Identify and review new legal and relevant requirements applicable to operations.
  • Monitoring & Emergency Preparedness
    • Conduct regular environmental and safety monitoring.
    • Establish and maintain emergency response procedures and systems.
    • Lead incident investigations and reporting to mitigate risks such as fire, explosion, and other emergencies.
    • Ensure fire protection systems are operational and ready at all times.
    • Regularly test emergency preparedness and response protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement & Audits
    • Recommend system improvements across plant operations.
    • Conduct EHS assessments and audits in all operational areas.
    • Implement accident/incident prevention programs to reduce workplace incidents.
  • Training & Awareness
    • Roll out EHS training programs and awareness activities for personnel.
    • Maintain required EHS organizations (Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team, etc.).
  • General Support
    • Provide EHS-related support to commissary operations.
    • Comply with company policies including GMP, Food Safety, Quality, and Safety standards.
    • Take on additional assignments to support operational efficiency and personal development.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering course (preferably Chemical or Mechanical).
  • With at least eight (8) years of work experience in the field of environment, health, and safety or similar equivalent roles.
  • Preferably, with EHS experience under food or FMCG manufacturing industries.
  • Preferably, a Licensed Engineer.
  • Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO)/ Safety Officer (SO) by DENR and LLDA with familiarity in EOSH, FSCC, and Internal Audits.
  • Must be knowledgeable in ISO 45001 or 14001.
  • Candidate must be willing to work at the commissary plant in Canlubang, Laguna
